Longing to Declare… More and More of Him

My heart’s desire is to declare my love for the Lord, and all of the wonderful ways He has richly blessed my  life.  Writing is one avenue I pursue to do just that.  If nothing else, I want visitors to my blog to walk away saying, “Wow!  That lady really loves her Savior!  And no wonder– He IS an awesome, righteous, loving God!”  I want my readers to know the simple childhood message… Jesus loves you!

 

“Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders which You have done, And Your thoughts toward us; There is none to compare with You.  If I would declare and speak of them, They would be too numerous to count.”  (Psa 40:5, NASB)

I want to declare my love for Christ.

I want to declare His goodness.

I want to declare HIM.

I want His love and joy to ooze from every fiber of my being — to change my heart and to grow me into His image — and I want His love and joy to spill over right onto my family, my friends, and the dark world around me that needs Him desperately (and don’t we all!).

A dear friend mentioned a Christian women’s blogging conference to me a few months ago (or was it only last month?) and I immediately loved the sound of it!  Women from across the nation meeting to develop and expand their writing ministry and coming together to worship and learn?  Wow!  How awesome!  Women whose main focus in life is to declare His goodness and His love…?  The thought touches my heart deeply…  What joy!

And, guess what it’s called…!  The Declare Conference.  “One Message, Many Voices”….”To know God and make Him known.”

       Amen to that!

I am so excited to have the opportunity to go along with my sweet friend, and also to meet other women who truly love the Lord and live to serve Him!  I’ve even met a few of them already– online through a Facebook group — and they are wonderful ladies who shine so, so bright!  I am really looking forward to spending a few days with them — learning alongside them, and from their wisdom and experience, worshiping and praising with them, and just enjoying time with like-minded women who desire to glorify and magnify Christ!  I will definitely miss my family (I never leave them– I know tears will be shed), but I also know and trust that God will bless this time spent learning to serve Him more efficiently with my writing.   And, He’s so lovingly washed over me with peace in the planning and smoothed every last detail to prepare the way for me to attend.  He is just so generous like that!  🙂

There is none to compare with Him… and His wonders are too numerous to count!
